The maekake is a traditional apron that has been used since the Edo period.
It serves to protect the body by tightening the hip bones.
This maekake apron features an auspicious pattern of Mount Fuji and the sunrise. This apron can also be seen in the latest James Bond film, No Time to Die.
Our maekake aprons are woven using a 100-year-old Toyota shuttle loom.
