The maekake is a traditional apron that has been used since the Edo period.
It serves to protect the body by tightening the hip bones.
Sake can be enjoyed at different temperatures: cold, room temperature or heated. To enjoy its natural taste, it is best to choose a "dry" sake ( karakuchi ) and chill it. To enjoy the bouquet, choose vintages rich in aromas ( amakuchi ) and warm them.
Our maekake aprons are woven using a 100-year-old Toyota shuttle loom.
